WHEN THE AUDIOBOOK OF George Saunders’s polyvocal novel Lincoln in the Bardo was released in January 2017, the project made headlines for its unique approach to narration. One hundred and sixtysix actors – including Julianne Moore, David Sedaris, Nick Offerman, and Lena Dunham – contributed their voices to the recording. The ambitious project featured the largest cast for an audiobook to date – Penguin Random House Audio in New York applied to the Guinness Book of World Records to mark the occasion.
