THE South DevonRailway (SDR) has set atentativedate of March 20-21 for its return to public running, more than a year since it last operated any passengercarrying trains.
The railway’s commercial team is working on aset of proposals for the New Year, which will initially be somewhat pared back to a‘normal’year. Theidea is to promotea basic train service, which the SDR is confident it can deliver, but one thatcan be added to.This,it says, is preferable to outlining a full programme of events that may end up having to be cancelled at short notice becauseofcircumstances beyond its control, such as further possible lockdowns.
