TWO Class 117 DMUs were moved from one railway to another in November.
DMBS No. 51352 and DMS No. 51376 have been acquired by the South Devon Railway from storage at Long Marston. They were owned at one time by the Territorial Army for training purposes and ran on the West Somerset Railway before moving to Long Marston in 2007.
Also in November, the Colne Valley Railway received Class 117 DMBS No. 51339 and DMS No. 51382 from the East Lancashire Railway.
In December, the Dean Forest Railway took delivery of Class 108 DMSL No. 50632 and DMCL No. 52044 from the Pontypool & Blaenavon Railway. No. 50632 was seen leaving St Philip’s Marsh depot, Bristol by road on December 23 having visited the wheel lathe.
