UGLY BOWS OUT AT SPA VALLEY LINE
ANDY Cottenham’s RSH ‘56’ 0-6-0ST No. 62 Ugly (7673/1950) has been withdrawn from traffic at the Spa Valley Railway (SVR), having reached the end of its 10-year boiler certificate. The stalwart loco first steamed at the SVR in October 2010 and since then has clocked up around 10,000 miles, proving to be both a capable and reliable performer. The loco will now go on display in the shed at Tunbridge Wells West while it awaits its turn in the overhaul queue.
