A NEW electric service between Corby and London, operated by East Midlands Railway (EMR), officially got underway on May 16.
The service, operated by Class 360/1 EMUs, had a low-key introduction on May 9, initially replacing the Class 222 on the Kettering-Corby shuttles. EMR says carbon emissions between Corby and St Pancras will be reduced by 77% through using electric trains.
