ON THE Isle of Wight, work on infrastructure improvements has continued ahead of the Island Line’s reopening.
This was the scene on April 17 at Brading, where a passing loop is being installed, allowing services to run at regular half-hourly intervals and improving connections with Wightlink ferries.
The resumption of trains has been delayed by software issues affecting the Vivarail-supplied Class 484 trains, which will take over services following the withdrawal of the Class 483s before the closure for engineering work.
