THE Bo'ness & Kinneil Railway reopened to the public on May 29. Using steam and diesel traction, three trains a day are operating on weekends and Tuesdays, between Bo'ness and Manual stations.
The last train of the day, at 15.00, on May 30 saw Class 27 No. 27001 making its first passenger run since it failed in 2019 with a generator problem. Since then, No. 27001 (D5347) has had a generator rebuilt along with other maintenance.
