I WAS interested to read your article on Didcot depot (September issue). I visited Exeter Exmouth Junction shed on August 2, 1965 and there saw GWR 0-4-2 No. 1450 and 0-6-0 No. 3205 (pictured).
I was told that No. 1450 was about to be preserved, and it is likely that No. 3205 was also on its way to Buckfastleigh.
Of interest is that I was a driver on the Severn Valley Railway, and September 5, 1984 was the first time I took a train with No. 3205 to Kidderminster.
