Operator’s eight Class 20s up for sale in first phase of older traction disposal.

DIRECT Rail Services has listed all of its Class 20 fleet, along with two Class 37s, two Class 57s and four Mk.2 coaches for sale.
The Class 20s were the first locomotives to enter service with DRS, then a subsidiary of British Nuclear Fuels, with No. 20301 being handed over to the operator on September 28, 1995. It and Nos. 20302-5 (which, having been among 10 purchased from RFS, were the initial batch of Class 20s modernised at Brush Traction for working trains carrying low-level radioactive waste) were advertised online to potential bidders on October 15, along with Nos. 20308/309/312, 37606/703 and 57302/311.
