MARKING the completion of its restoration following over three years of work, Patron of Crich Tramway Village, HRH Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester, drove Newcastle 102 out of the workshop at the Derbyshire museum on October 20.
The tram, which had to be withdrawn from service after suffering a broken axle in 2000, is due to undergo running-in trials before becoming part of the operational fleet for next season.
