PEEL Ports Group says expanding rail connectivity is helping customers and shipping lines to overcome the impact of lorry driver shortages.
The group, whose operations include Liverpool, Clydeport, Heysham and London Medway, says placing less reliance on congested southern ports is the key to enabling a resilient future for the UK’s supply chain.
Hams Hall has been announced as the latest destination to be served by trains from the Port of Liverpool, which also has regular connections to Mossend, East Midlands Gateway and Birmingham.
