TALYLLYN Railway (TR) has submitted a revised funding bid to the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF), which has passed the initial ‘Expression of Interest’ stage. The submission of a further application following rejection last year of TR’s original £1.3 million bid was thought a possibility (RM, February), with TR having been told its earlier bid was ‘not far off’.
Meanwhile, detailed plans for a Heritage shed at Wharf station (not included in the new NLHF bid) are being prepared with invitations to tender likely in April with a view to construction next winter.
