Right: On its second day working for ČD No. 193683, leased from RSL and not yet given its ČD livery leaves Ústí nad Labem hl.n. with train R609 the 08.30 Cheb to Praha hl.n. formed of a new ‘InterJet’ set on February 19.

CZECH national rail operator ČD introduced the first of 10 five-car rakes of new Siemens/ Škoda built ‘InterJet’ branded coaches in January. Based on the Siemens Viaggio platform (i.e. Railjet), the trains are primarily being used between Prague and Cheb via both Plzeň and Ústí nad Labem, although longer term are likely to operate international services to Poland and other countries.
