BACK IN ACTION: Permanent way work, including sleeper replacement and correcting the cant of the track on the Foulbridge-Town section, allowed trams to start operating on the full circle of the Beamish Tramway in time for the half-term school holidays. Sunderland No. 16 is seen undertaking a test run on the repaired track formation in February.

PROGRESS WITH No. 10: At Beamish Museum, new bolster link pivots have been made for Gateshead No. 10. There was significant wear on the previous set and some had been the subject of poor quality repairs in the past. The tram has been lowered from its packing to allow work on the body to take place.

TRAMS are running once again on Saturdays and Sundays on the Wirral Heritage Tramway in Birkenhead following its temporary closure after infrastructure problems were identified.
