BRANCHING OUT: The Swanage Diesel Gala, held on May 6-8, saw the first visit of a Class 69 to the line – albeit on display only. The loco arrived on the evening of May 5 with electro-diesel No. 73136 (which did take part in the gala), and the pair are seen in the Frome Valley making their way along the branch towards Swanage.
