FOLLOWING a programme of testing, upgraded ticket validating machines on platforms at Edinburgh tram stops went into service on April 28.
The machines can be used by passengers to touch-on Ridacards, smart cards and concession passes.
In Nottingham, a contactless ‘Tap & Go’ system now covers tram travel with Nottingham Express Transit, buses operated by Nottingham City Transport and CT4N Linkbuses.
Previously only available for individual operators, it allows passengers to make multiple journeys with a £5.60 daily capped fare.
