DERBY-based Loram UK has won contracts worth £25 million for Network Rail fleet maintenance and operation, which will lead to the creation of 20 additional jobs.
The two-year deals (which have an option for extension to five years) cover the maintenance of NR’s 65 dedicated infrastructure monitoring vehicles which gather data on the condition of track and structural assets, as well as the operation and maintenance of a small fleet of rail vehicles used for visual inspections, track recording and analysing the integrity of switches and crossings (points).
