Nos. 2611+2611 depart Midleton with the 15.45 to Cork Kent on March 13. It is hoped that construction will start later this year to double the line from here to Glounthane, where it meets the Cork to Cobh line. The upgrade of the line will also see several new stations built. The line reopened for commuter traffic from Midleton to Cork in July 2009 after being closed to passenger traffic in 1963.
