The new TMB EMUs carry the names Marie, Jeanne and Anne, as used to identify the previous trains and as before they carry a variety of liveries. As a fourth train has been added to the fleet it has a new name as Marguerite. This fourth, and last to be delivered, train also has a unique white and red livery promoting the French Haute-Savoie Department, seen in this picture on a street running section in Saint-Gervais on January 9.

THE highest railway in France, the metre gauge Strub rack equipped Tramway du Mont- Blanc or TMB has a new fleet of trains. The four new Stadler built two-car EMUs will replace the original fleet of three EMUs plus trailers that have operated the line since electrification at 11kV AC in 1956. The new trains are like the previous ones named, not numbered, after the daughters of the founder of the original operating company.
