IARNRÓD Éireann’s (IÉ) annual report for 2022 was published in early July, and showed the company continued to recover from the Covid-19 pandemic.
It reported a small net surplus of €0.8m with total revenue of €224.1m up from €144.1m in 2021, a recovery of €80.0m reflecting a recovery from the impact of Covid-19. Rail freight revenue increased by €1.2m to €4.8m. Total tonnage in 2022 also saw a significant rise with total tonne kilometres of 81 million up 11 million from 2021.
