BOOK 1 was launched in 2018 covering the Mid-Cheshire and the Calder Valley routes, and now Book 2 has been issued for West Coast Main Line destinations between Merseyside and the northern edge of London.
Issued in partnership with London Northwestern Railway and Women in Community Rail, this is essentially a booklet to encourage rail travel to places associated with significant women in history – for example pottery designer Clarice Cliff at Stoke-on-Trent or author George Eliot (Mary Ann Evans) at Nuneaton to name but two of the 27 women featured.
