TANFIELD Railway held a successful‘Run it’weekend on October 14/15 when everything that was runnable was steamed and operated during the event.
Head Wrightson 0-4-0VBT No. 1, built in 1871 was a popular visitor from Beamish, working alongside the home fleet.
Hawthorn Leslie 0-4-0ST No. 2 (2859/1911) operated alongside its younger cousin, 0-4-0ST Sir Cecil A Cochrane, Robert Stephenson & Hawthorn works number 7409, built in 1949.
