UNSTABLE land on a section of the Midland Main Line at Braybrooke between Kettering and Market Harborough led to the temporary closure of the Down line on November 2.
Network Rail has been monitoring a section of track in the area for several weeks. However, with a visible distortion of the track, the land needed more intrusive work to stabilise it. Soil nails were installed to reinforce the land and protect the track. The line reopened on November 9.
