Colne Valley construction reaches an ‘exciting stage’
First piers completed in the middle of a lake for the two-mile long HS2 viaduct.
CURZON NO. 2 DESIGN APPROVED: Birmingham City Council has approved the design of the tallest in a series of structures that will form the approaches to the HS2 station at Curzon Street in Birmingham. With a truss made of weathering steel, the Curzon No. 2 bridge will carry three tracks over the existing rail route and Victorian railway viaduct. This computer-generated image shows how it is intended to look, complete with a proposed coloured light installation designed by artist Liz West, which will be the subject of a separate submission to the council.
