OWNERSHIP of 67 former London Underground D78 vehicles, stored at Long Marston in Warwickshire, has transferred to Great Western Railway as part of its purchase of assets from the collapsed firm Vivarail.
The company, which went into administration last December, originally purchased 226 of the former Tube cars to use their bodyshells and bogies in its D-Train project, which resulted in production of the Class 230 and Class 484 units.
