RICHARD TUPLIN
PROLIFIC railway photographer and author Brian Morrison passed away peacefully on April 30, aged 93.
Born on March 7, 1930, he was brought up in South London and his interest in railways started as a child. After falling out with a school prefect, he switched from school dinners to sandwiches, and joined classmates in cycling to a nearby field in Chislehurst to eat them while watching passing trains. This was 1942, the year the that first Ian Allan ABC was published.
