Llynclys operation
CAMBRIAN Heritage Railways (CHR) welcomed visitors to its Llynclys site on September 9-10 as part of the national Heritage Open Days scheme.
Passengers joined a regular CHR service from Oswestry to Weston Wharf, where they could enjoy a ‘rail replacement’ journey to Llynclys on board Tanat Valley Coaches’ vintage ex-Trent Tiger Cub, before travelling by train from Llynclys to Penygarreg and then retracting their steps.
Trains at Llynclys were operated using Vulcan 0-4-0 Telemon and Shark brake van No. 993854.
