DB Cargo withdrew the last of its four-wheel CDA china clay wagons on August 11 after more than 35 years in service. The trains from Parkandillack, Burngullow and Goonbarrow to Carne Point (Fowey) will now be formed of bogie JIA and JGA wagons, as also used on the long-distance services from Cornwall to Stoke-on-Trent. Additional bogie wagons were sent to Cornwall from store at Long Marston on August 19, and the following day No. 66190 is pictured in the goods loop at Lostwithiel with the five additional JGA wagons and two of the 17 extra JIAs. See pages 20-25 for a tribute to the CDAs. CRAIG MUNDAY
