Ahead of the planned withdrawal of its High Speed Train fleet, scheduled for October, CrossCountry has unveiled two more Class 43 power cars in British Rail era liveries. Their original numbers have also been reapplied. No. 43007 (43207) carries the original BR blue, grey and yellow carried by the trains when new. No. 43008 (43208) has been given Intercity ‘Swallow’ treatment. They are pictured at Plymouth Laira depot on July 31 either side of ‘Executive’-liveried No. 43184 (43384) Laira Diesel Depot, which received its makeover last year. The two latest repaints were carried out at the depot and vinyls were applied there by PTM.
