SOUTH Western Railway Class 450, No. 450100 was named Transport Benevolent Fund CIO atWaterloo station to mark the charity’s centenary on July 27.
Since its foundation in London in 1923, the organisation, which supports public transport workers and their families in times of need, has expanded to support people across England, Scotland andWales.
SWR has more members than any other train operator, with around 2600 of its staff making contributions to the fund.
The name was unveiled by SWR managing director Claire Mann,TBF chairman Rob Jones and patron and Network Rail chairman Lord Hendy.
