I enjoyed Bob Jones’ article in the June, 2019 issue of Rock & Gem on submarine “black smoker” hot spring deposits. Another ancient example of such a deposit was well exposed in the Flambeau Copper Mine open pit, Ladysmith, Wisconsin when it was mined from 1993 to 1997.
