The Sea Forest Waterway in Tokyo, Japan was put through its paces this summer when it played host to the World Rowing Junior Championships in August. It was an opportunity for World Rowing to get to grips with the venue before it returns to run the Olympic rowing event on the same course next year. The trial passed largely without a hitch, although several competitors and spectators fell prey to the much talked about heat and humidity.
