Rosella has changed flags twice between Åland, Finland and Sweden during her time with Viking Line, which is coming to an end.

The oldest vessel in the Viking Line fleet, Rosella, has been sold to Greece’s Aegean Sealines Maritime for €11.25 million. Built by Wärtilä Turku (now Meyer Turku) in 1980, she has mainly sailed Turku-Mariehamn-Kapellskär, with stints to Stockholm and then Helsinki-Tallinn. She will transfer to her new Mediterranean owners in late January.
