Gas ship operator Anthony Veder (see SM, Oct 2019) has taken delivery of the 30,000m3capacity LNG carrier Coral Nordic from China’s Jiangnan Shipyard. The ice class 1A vessel measures 176.8m by 28.8m and is equipped with two Type C bi-lobe cargo tanks, one with a capacity of 16,000m 3and the other with a capacity of 14,000m 3 , making them the world’s largest bi-lobe ‘Type C’ LNG tanks. Built at a cost of approximately $65 million, the new gas tanker expands the Anthony Veder fleet to over 30 ships. JS
