Carnival is hoping for a massive rebound in 2023, following impressive booking numbers. In the meantime, the latest addition to the fleet, Carnival Luminosa (formerly Costa Luminosa), completed her transformation at Fincantieri’s Palermo shipyard, having been handed over to Carnival on 8 September. On 26 September she left Palermo, bound for Dubai to pick up crew. She will commence service in Australia in November, joining Carnival Splendor, recently arrived in Sydney.
Carnival Conquest arrived in Cadiz on 14 September for her scheduled dry-docking and maintenance, during which she will receive Carnival’s new hull livery. Carnival Vista’s itineraries from Galveston have been modified as a result of a propulsion issue that means that the ship cannot maintain sufficient speed to make all of her planned calls.
