MANANNAN The Isle of Man Steam Packet is offering improved food aboard the 96m catamaran fast craft, introduced in 2009, following the appointment of chef Matt Berry to redesign menus for the 5,743gt/43-knot vessel’s Coast to Coast Café.
VICTORIA I The 2001-built Tallink Grupp vessel has been chartered by the Scottish Government and arrived in July to start six months as an accommodation unit for Ukrainian refugees, lying on the Firth of Forth at Leith, near Edinburgh. Delivered in 2001 by Aker Finnyards, the 40,975gt vessel was well known on Baltic sailings and can accommodate 2,252 people in a total of 739 cabins. After the initial six months through to December there is the option of a three-month extension.
