Cyprus-based Victoria Cruises Line has been advertising residential accommodation on the former Holland America ships Maasdam and Veendam, renamed Aegean Myth and Aegean Majesty when sold to Seajets of Greece in 2020, but now scheduled to operate round-theworld ‘residential cruises’ under the names Victoria Majestic and Victoria Amazing from early next year.
According to the Cypriot company, the minimum rental period for a stateroom aboard the twin ships will be six months, with inside cabins starting at $8,000 per month, and the largest suites up to $35,000 per month.
Following refits by Fincantieri, the 1996-built Victoria Majestic will depart Miami on 1 February 2023 on a westbound circumnavigation via the Panama Canal, while the 1993-built Victoria Amazing will depart Livorno, Italy on 1 April. Both ships will follow the same itinerary while visiting 205 ports in 115 countries. Each vessel will take about 27 months to circle the globe, with 540 days spent in ports.
