To see the landscape through the eyes of the poets Byron, Coleridge, Tennyson and Brooke, is a revelation. The painted word embodied by artists such as Rossetti, Waterhouse and Holman Hunt has left a beautiful symmetry of visual and audible richness for the world to connect with. The notion of the English idyll and Cambridge in particular has been, for me, an enduring focus – I lived and worked in this romantic place for ten years.
