Sometimes you can stumble into a new venture almost by accident. This happened to me in September 2016 whilst waiting for visitors during Somerset Open Studios. Finding it difficult to settle on my normal watercolour work I began to make small monotype prints, and so began a descent into monoprint madness. I have long been fascinated by printmaking but the process always seemed too complicated – such a huge topic with so much to learn. With hindsight I should have invested in a printmaking course – in fact I still need to sign up to one.
