Works by Pissarro, Tissot and Monet are included in Tate Britain’s autumn exhibition, which follows the stories of French artists who found refuge in Britain during the Franco-Prussian war of 1870 to 1871. It will trace the connections between French and British artists, patrons and art dealers during that time, and highlight their engagement with British culture, traditions and social life.
