CENTURIONS PUT ENGLAND ON THE PATH TO TEST GLORY
Moeen Ali praised fellow centurion Ben Stokes after the Durham all rounder’s one hundred and twenty eight helped England rack up an imposing first-innings total of five hundred and thirty seven on the second day of the first Test against India. Stokes was one of three England century makers after Moeen, who had begun the morning on ninety nine, hit one hundred and seventeen, and Joe Root’s one hundred and twenty four on
day one. It was the first time Stokes had reached three figures in Tests since his magnificent double hundred against South Africa in Cape Town in January.
