TYKES WILL TURN IT ON WITH NEW MAN GALE
With 2017 now underway, the countdown to the County Championship
season begins. There is just three months to go until the season gets underway, and every team will be practising hard, getting ready for any
pre-season tours. Middlesex won a dramatic Division One last year and Yorkshire will be keen to make it three titles in four years, having been pipped to the hattrick last year. Jason Gillespie will be missed at Headingley, though, having returned to Australia, but I still fancy Yorkshire to lift the trophy. If they do, under the leadership of Andrew Gale, that will be a better
achievement than two titles in two years. Gale is Yorkshire through and
through, but the first season in charge is always a tricky task.
