The Searcher  |  January 2016
What’s new in this issue?
The Lanark Hoard features on our front cover this month – a lovely hammered coin hoard from Scotland. We also feature an outstanding Anglo-Saxon rarity: the only Anglo-Saxon Queen to have coins struck in her name. The Crowland Seal found in Lincolnshire was also traced back and presented back to the Abbey where it originated. There are many more amazon finds one of which is a silver hawking vervel found in Buckinghamshire. Of course there is much much more between the covers.
