May, saw 34 years of me running Transliving International - where have the years gone? I remember so well my first night on the microphone with an audience - twenty seven in attendance. The next month was forty eight, then it exploded and The Manor always saw 100 plus!
I used to do all the correspondence by hand, then a member encouraged me to get a pc. It was an Amstrad, I loved it, and it was a great help. I even produced the group’s magazine Tweenie on it. Support was amazing back then and we had Transformation’s Stephanie Anne Lloyd photocopying the mag for us by way of sponsorship.
We were then advised to get a 286pc - Oh help! - I did not have a clue! Our eleven year old neighbour fortunately got us going, but within a week my partner realised it was a 386 we needed for the amount work we were having to do! We never imagined back then that we would grow to the point of having to spend thousands to produce the magazine we have today.
