Where to start? my name is Siobhan (phonetic “shivawn”) and I am a mature cross-dresser/trans lady - I actually prefer the ‘trans’ label but either will do. I am not full time and I have no desire to transition - I enjoy my male-side too much for that -but my female persona is very important to me. The two journeys? One is the journey of CD/trans - and the other a geographical trip of a lifetime (more of that a little later).
Where/when did my CD journey begin? I’m not exactly certain - but I do remember as a pre-pubescent teen, noticing ladies in long glamorous dresses who came to visit our home - and I somehow knew they wore stockings (this was before Mary Quant and the tights era). I knew that the fabrics of ladies clothes were nicer to touch - much more tactile than the rough texture of male clothing. No Transteenage exploration occurred - I had a very strict religious upbringing - hellfire and damnation were always just around the corner... But, when I was fifteen, an eighteenyear-old girl took an interest in me and I discovered that she wore suspenders and stockings - this planted a seed for much later in my life.
