Part 3... Living two lives

A lot of you may already know me. Anyone that’s been to the monthly parties in Brentwood, or the weekend events, has certainly met me. I’m the girl on stage entertaining you all. But do you really know me? Just another Trans girl, right? Well yes, but there’s more to everyone, and this is part 3 of my story.

We pick up the story at my first taste of freedom… real freedom that comes from having your own transport. Being able to go anywhere and anytime. Yes I know I could have got on a bus or train or something, but for me it was having a car. That changed things a lot. A really significant point in life. But I didn’t just go in one direction, I went in two...

There have been bits I missed out of my story so far, on purpose. Stuff we could get to later. Well now is ‘later’ and time to say hello to the elephant in the room. Time to deal with some of the Trans stuff. Some of this is the cliche t-girls story of feeling different from a very early age, which for me was roughly three. I have this memory of a ‘dressing up box’. Just a collection of old clothes that kids dress up in. I don’t actually remember any male clothes in the box -maybe I just ignored them - but for me, dressing up was feminine stuff and I loved it. I don’t think most boys would, even at that age. Things like this make me wonder how much my mum noticed, because she isn’t one to open up, and would never tell me, even now.
