In the last edition of this magazine, I wrote a small article about a group of fourteen, that descended on the Victorian Tea Room on Eastbourne Pier on the final day of the Autumn 2016 weekend, and then plotted the idea to go one better in this small ‘tradition’ of these weekends.
At around midday on the Sunday, I popped down to the pier to advise that a potentially large group of around twenty, could be coming for afternoon tea at 3pm. Unfortunately they could not in advance move tables to accommodate, just in case they were already busy at the same time, but they would bear us in mind.
