SLOW LIVING for busy people

Slow, simple living has many positive effects – Kat y Beskow finds ways to live more purposefully, no matter how busy you are

Whether it’s work, family time or household duties, having a plan of what you need to do actually saves you time and reduces stress. Set aside some time each week to make a plan of tasks that you need or want to achieve, then spread them out in order to reduce rushing. It’s worth investing a small portion of time to plan how you will achieve the things that need to be done, in a realistic way.

How many times have you checked emails today? Being more purposeful about when you choose to open and read emails will reduce stress, especially if you’ve allocated time to reply to them within your daily organisation plan. As a rule, check emails just twice per day, with time set aside (and the intention) to respond.
