IKEA GOES MEAT-FREE FOR CHRISTMAS
This year, for the first time ever, IKEA is bidding farewell to the traditional turkey roast as part of its festive food menu. Instead, IKEA will only be serving meat-free Christmas dishes to visitors across all stores, nationwide. The move to go meat-free aims to offer more plant-friendly and sustainable meals, at a low price. From 4th November, IKEA customers will be able to purchase two new meat-free meals from the restaurant. While the Brie and Cranberry Open Tart (£4.25) is sadly only suitable for vegetarians rather than vegans, the vegan option still sounds equally as delicious! The vegan Root Vegetable Tart Tatin (£3.95) is made with dairy-free puff pastry topped with glazed root vegetables and a sprinkling of thyme. Both dishes will also be part of IKEA’s £5 lunchtime offer, which includes dessert and a drink.Head over to www.ikea.com/gb/en/this-is-ikea/ for more info and to find your nearest store.
