We've experienced the vegan food scene rapidly accelerate over the last few years, with more and more products becoming available and new companies adjusting their formulas to create vegan friendly versions of much loved items. And now finally the beauty sector seems to be catching up – Superdrug even opened a vegan pop-up store in London this spring to showcase the fact that their range now includes over 1,000 vegan products. And cruelty-free makeup is definitely in the spotlight at the moment with vegans and non-vegans alike, which is why we've decided to bring you a special beauty focus this issue. From page 105, we share advice on cruelty-free makeup, how to look after your locks, top ingredients to feed your skin and DIY skincare. One of my favourite makeup ranges comes from one of my absolute heroes – Kat Von D – so you can imagine just how excited I was when we managed to get an exclusive interview with her. Turn to page 114 to find out what she has to say.
